The Meadow

Located directly on the banks of the Taylor River, the Meadow is a completely customizable venue space surrounded by lush trees and gorgeous mountain scenery. The Meadow can accommodate up to 150 guests for both the ceremony and reception.

Cookout Grounds

The Cookout Grounds offer a rustic, intimate setting surrounded by cozy cabins and the natural beauty of the Colorado mountains. Gather around the fire pit under the stars, then celebrate with dinner, dancing and toasts beneath the open-air pavilion.

Accommodations

Each guest staying at Harmels for your wedding will receive a 10% discount off of their cabin for the duration of their stay during wedding festivities. The wedding couple’s cabin is free with the booking of 12 or more cabins. Harmels requires that all cabins by the Cookout Grounds first be rented before any additional cabins are rented. Harmels requires a 60-day notice of cabin cancellations for wedding groups or the wedding couple will be charged the cabin deposit amount.

Fly Fishing

Harmels offers guided fly fishing and a full-service fly shop. Book your trip with our knowledgeable guides and enjoy our private stretch of the Taylor River.

Horseback rides leave from the Harmels property daily and allow you to explore the surrounding Gunnison National Forest from a different point of view.

FAQ’s

How many weddings does Harmels do per weekend?
Harmels hosts one event per weekend.
How far away are you from Crested Butte?
We are about 20 minutes from downtown Crested Butte.
Can we store our cake or flowers in your restaurant fridges?
No, we do not allow outside food or flowers in our restaurant fridges. Please plan to store them in your cabin fridges.
What do you require go through the venue?
Harmels requires a day-of coordinator, and all alcohol must go through the venue.
Do you offer on-site catering?
Harmels does not offer on-site catering through the venue.
What time does my wedding have to end?
All weddings must end by 10pm.
Where can I get ready?
We have the Saddle Club, located inside the restaurant, as a getting ready space.
Do you allow outside alcohol?
Any outside alcohol found on the wedding day will result in the forfeiture of your damage deposit.
Can my dog be in the wedding?
Yes! We allow furry friends to attend the wedding ceremony but ask that they return to their cabin or another designated space during the reception.
How do I book?
If your date is available, we will send you a contract to sign. A $1,000 deposit is required at the time of booking.
