Harmels' string of horses are strong, patient, and knowledgeable of the trails we use year after year. We own approx 40 horses we use throughout the summer for our guests and our guides. We are proud of our string and our return guests tend to request the horse they loved so much from the previous year. We add approximately two or three new guide horses each year which are trained for a few years before they enter the guest string.
We have a selection of gentle older horses for young children and beginner riders that know all the trails and provide a quick confidence building. We also have a good group of intermediate to expert level of mounts if your riding skill warrants them. Even if you don't choose to ride, be sure to stop by the stables to get acquainted with these superb equine athletes.
