Harmel's Pet Friendly Information

The staff at Harmel's Ranch Resort loves pets! We know how heartbreaking it can be to have to board your pet while the rest of the family goes on vacation. We decided to give families the option of including their four-legged friend on their vacation to the Colorado Rockies.

There are plenty of hiking trails around the ranch for you and your dog to enjoy. A dip in the cool river is the best treat after a long hike! There are a few secluded spots around the river, that are usually without fisherman, making a perfect swimming opportunity.

We ask the following of pet owners:

• Pets must be leashed at all times when on ranch property and hiking on trails; you may encounter a horseback ride. Once you're in the woods, off the trail, let 'em run free!
• Owners must clean up after their pets.

Harmel's Pet Rules and Requirements:

1. Keep your pet on a leash when outside your cabin (on ranch property and trails).
2. Clean up after your pet at all times.
3. You will be held responsible for damages caused by your pet, and pay for said damages.
4. If your pet is not friendly enough to allow the housekeepers in when you are gone, please let the front desk know so we may alert housekeeping.  Other arrangements can be made for towels, coffee, etc...
5. We are sorry, but the following dogs will NOT be allowed on ranch property due to Insurance Comp. Liability Coverage:  Pit Bull, Chow Chow, Doberman, Wolf Hybrid, Akita, Husky, Presa Canarios (Canary Dog), Rottweiler and Staffordshire Terrier.

Pet Fees:

$10/day per pet or $65/week. Pets are welcome with prior reservation.

Harmel's is home to a five dogs (Bodhi, Luna, Ruby, Nesta, and Lily) and eight kitty cats (Lobo, Ryza, Chico, Cricket, Boca, Xena, Zeus, and Gus). Lobo the cat likes to visit families in their cabins. If you have a dog that does not like cats please shoo him away.
