Harmel's IS the center of Taylor River Rafting. Tumbling from Taylor Reservoir at 10,000 feet for sixteen miles to Harmel's landing at 8,412 feet, the Taylor River is said to be amoung the fastest rivers in the continental United States.

Unsurpassed for natural beauty, the glacier carved Taylor Canyon widens at Harmel's and then proceeds, at slower speed, for ten more miles before meeting the East River forming the head water of the mighty Gunnison River.

Upper Taylor: Deluxe Class III

Beginning at Harmel's, this trip finishes at Harmel's Landing. This deluxe class III adventure is the longest, most exhilerating white water experience offered on the Taylor River. Characterized by great riffles and white water chutes, both safe and exciting, this trip is exclusively offered to Harmel's guests.

Lower Taylor: Deluxe Class II

Slower in river speed, the lower Taylor still boasts exciting white water rapids with nice rolling chutes. Perfect for the whole family, sightseers, and younger children. This deluxe adventure is exclusively offered to Harmel's guests.
Harmel's rafts two times per day, seven days per week: 9:00am and 1:00pm.  Rain or Shine.
