Our Horses
 Harmels' string of horses are strong, patient, and knowledgeable of the trails we use year after year. We own 32 of the 50-some horses we use throughout the summer. We are proud of the string and the majority return year after year to the delight of our guests. We add approximately five or six new guide horses each year which are trained for two or three years before they enter the guest string.
 We have a selection of gentle older horses for young children and beginning riders that know all the trails and provide a quick confidence building. We also have a good group of intermediate to expert level of mounts if your riding skill warrants them. Our horses work hard they then return to a lower, kinder elevation outside of Crawford for a six month vacation. Even if you don't choose to ride, be sure to stop by the stables to get acquainted with these superb equine athletes.
